Is there a problem with addiction in my community?

From what I have seen, there is a very big problem with addiction in my community. Every day there are drunk people in the streets causing problems for other people and for their self. I have seen people openly smoking marijuana. I have also seen people sitting around at the bus stops smoking crack. I have been offered drugs from many different people quite a few times. It is very sad that there is so much evil in this great city of Minneapolis. I personally know how it can be for someone struggling  with drug addition.

Has the American Dream Left America?

Nicolas Kristof claims that the American dream is to leave America. Kristof gives us a few realistic facts to support his claim. He also uses comparison to persuade us.

I can agree with what Kristof is telling us. Kristof said that Russia has the largest percent of adults with a university education of any industrialized country, also that America is ranked 5th for population with a degree and that South Korea is at the top of the list. Kristof also said that more young American men have less education than their parents.
These are all valid points that Kristof is making. It sounds like he knows what he is talking about, and that the American dream really is to leave America.
